This is an adverstisement for a fictitious food item/brand based on the foods of the Tripvine world depicted in my comics Tripvine and Feast. I’m attracted to the colors and designs of vintage advertising and wanted to create an ad for something that is not actually available, but has a sense of plausibility. In carving the block and proofing the three layers, it became a study of color theory, with each successive color blending with the previous ones.
